The Tin Woodman

The Tin Woodman

Magic · Defence · Bannerlords

The Tin Woodman is one of five champions from the Echoes of Oz campaign event, joining the Bannerlords with a kit built around team-wide Ally Attacks, scaling Ignore DEF, and self-sacrificing damage redirection that looks exceptionally strong on paper.

Core Strengths & Abilities

Full Team Ally Attack: His A2, Fell It Now!, attacks a single enemy while inflicting 10% more damage and ignoring 10% DEF per buff on himself, then directs every other ally to join the attack using their default skills, with the bonus damage and Ignore DEF scaling further for the other Oz champions, making this one of the strongest Ally Attacks in the game and a top-tier tool against the Fire Knight boss and Mercurial gear's Total Guard stacks.

Scaling AoE with Rare Shatter Buff: His A3, Lumber Machine, hits all enemies while granting the team a 30% Increase C.DMG buff and a 15% Shatter buff for 2 turns, ignoring 5% of enemy DEF for each buff on himself, and placing Revive On Death on himself if the attack secures a kill.

Damage Redirection with Scaling Power: His passive, True Heart, redirects 15% (30% for fellow Oz champions) of damage that would hit his allies onto himself instead, and if that redirected damage exceeds 50% of his max HP, it both grants him Revive On Death and triggers a free Hewing Ax attack against the enemy with the lowest HP.

Key Weaknesses

Passive Damage Redirection May Create Fragility: Because he absorbs a portion of his allies' damage himself, he risks becoming squishier than expected despite the offensive payoff, especially in prolonged fights.

Full Potential Still Unproven: As with any newly released damage dealer, how much actual damage his kit produces in practice will determine whether he lives up to his strong theoretical ceiling.

With ratings of 9-10 across nearly every category, including perfect 10s in Amius, Arena, Fire Knight, and Overall User, The Tin Woodman looks like an elite team-wide damage amplifier for Fire Knight, PvP Mercurial counters, and general Clan Boss progression.
