Tayrel

Epic · Magic · Defence · High Elves

Tayrel is an Epic Defense champion of the High Elves, a silver-armored guardian of Aravia wielding a spear blessed by the Arbiter. Long an OG classic in Raid, he remains valued for his powerful debuff combination even though power creep has softened his once-dominant status.

Core Strengths & Abilities

Damage-Proportional AoE Decrease DEF: His A2, Singing Steel, hits all enemies with a 75% chance (100% booked) to place a 60% Decrease DEF debuff for 2 turns, dealing damage proportional to his own DEF, and adds a Sleep debuff on any target already under Decrease ATK.

Reliable Decrease ATK: His A1, Humble, hits twice, with each hit carrying a 40% chance (50% booked) to place a 50% Decrease ATK debuff for 2 turns, reducing enemy damage output while enhancing his team's relative damage.

Heavy Turn Meter Denial: His A3, Preemptive Strike, cuts a target's Turn Meter by 50% and places a 2-turn Stun if that fully depletes it, giving him strong control against threats like Fire Knight or Faction Wars bosses.

Key Weaknesses

Weak Against Iron Twins: With an Iron Twins rating of only 4, his debuff-heavy kit doesn't hold up as well in that single-target fight.

Overtaken by Power Creep: Once one of the most dominant Epics in the game, his kit has since been surpassed by newer champions offering similar or stronger debuff packages.

Rated 8 across Clan Boss, Dragon, Fire Knight, and Ice Golem, Tayrel remains a solid Defense debuffer for Clan Boss and Dungeon progression, and holds continued relevance in later content like Sintranos.
