Orynyx Mindcrawler

Legendary · Magic · Support · Dark Elves

Orynyx Mindcrawler is a Legendary Magic Support champion from the Dark Elves faction, built around locking enemy skills down rather than wearing teams down with raw damage.

Core Strengths & Abilities

Mass Cooldown Lockout: His A3, Mindcrawler, has a 75% chance (booked) of increasing the cooldowns of every enemy skill by 3 turns, while also filling his allies' Turn Meters by 20%. On a 4-turn booked cooldown, this is his primary tool for delaying an enemy team's strongest abilities while simultaneously speeding his own team up.

Buff Steal and Skill Shutdown: His A2, Clinging Webstorm, hits all enemies twice — the first hit has a 75% chance (booked) of stealing all buffs from every enemy, and the second has a 75% chance (booked) of placing Block Active Skills on all enemies for 2 turns. Combined with Mindcrawler, this gives him three separate ways to strip an enemy team's tools away in a single rotation.

Counter-Lockout Passive: Neuroskitter prevents his own skills from ever being put on cooldown, and grants him an Instant Turn whenever an enemy tries to increase the cooldown of his or an ally's skills. This makes him notably resilient against the exact cooldown-manipulation tactics his own kit relies on, letting him respond immediately if an enemy tries to turn his own strategy back on him.

Priority-Target Control: His A1, Dreamfang, reduces the target's Turn Meter by 10% and places a 1-turn Sleep on any enemy who's already had a skill cooldown-locked by Orynyx, giving him a way to follow up on his own control and keep a priority target from acting.

Key Weaknesses

Chance-Dependent Lockdown: Every one of his control effects — the cooldown increase, the buff steal, and Block Active Skills — caps at 75% chance even booked, so none of his signature plays are guaranteed; a team built entirely around his lockout can still have it whiff at the wrong moment.

Narrow Damage Profile: With no real offensive stat-scaling to speak of, Orynyx isn't built to contribute meaningful damage himself — his value is entirely about denying the enemy team's turns and tools, which makes him dead weight in matchups where disruption doesn't matter.

Orynyx rates highest in Arena (10) and as a Faction Wars primary pick (10), with strong marks in Doom Tower (9) and general wave control (9), squarely fitting his kit's focus on shutting down enemy cooldowns and buffs in PvP and speed-clear content rather than raw boss damage.
