Knave of Hearts

Knave of Hearts

Legendary · Force · HP · Undead Hordes

The Knave of Hearts was banished to the underworld by the Queen of Hearts after his betrayal was discovered, now bound by her sorcery as a Legendary HP champion of the Undead Hordes. He specializes in Heal Reduction, HP manipulation, and buff stealing, making him a durable tank and sustain option for control-heavy PvE encounters.

Core Strengths & Abilities

HP Swap and Protected Heal Reduction: His A3, Stout Defense, swaps HP with a target enemy while placing a 100% Heal Reduction for 2 turns that cannot be removed, transferred, or shortened, then equalizes all allies' HP up to the highest and grants a 60% Increase DEF buff — a 6-turn cooldown (4 booked) tool that's especially valuable against Amius the Lunar Archon, where the protected Heal Reduction resists being replaced by Continuous Heal.

Buff Theft and Self-Protection: His A2, Gallant Knave, hits all enemies with a 75% chance to steal 2 random buffs each, heals allies via Continuous Heal, and grants himself Unkillable and Taunt for 2 turns on a 4-turn cooldown (3 booked), making him a strong Mischief tank for Hydra and Enfeeble tank for the Phantom Shogun.

Passive Sustain and Punishment: Eternal Sentinel fully restores his own destroyed MAX HP at the start of his turn and destroys 20% of an attacker's MAX HP on being hit (stacking up to 50%), while his A1 adds a 30% (50% booked) chance to Provoke.

Key Weaknesses

HP Swap Doesn't Work on Bosses: His signature A3 mechanic loses its HP-swap component against bosses, reducing its impact to the Heal Reduction and DEF buff portions in those fights.

Middling Arena Presence: Despite strong PvE utility, his Chimera and Iron Twins ratings sit lower, suggesting his kit is better suited to sustained control fights than fast-paced PvP or mechanically strict encounters.

The Knave of Hearts is a strong pick for Amius, general boss encounters like Decay and Magma Dragon, and any content rewarding Heal Reduction and buff denial.
