Helicath

Legendary · Spirit · Defence · Demonspawn

Helicath is a Legendary Spirit Defence champion from the Demonspawn faction, introduced in the June 2022 Fusion Event. He's one of the best shielders in the game, doubling as a Weaken debuffer and a nearly unmatched Block Damage support.

Core Strengths & Abilities

DEF-Scaled Shielding: His A2, Winds of the Pit, is an AoE attack that shields all allies for 2 turns with a value proportional to his own DEF — only the second champion after Valkyrie to shield this way — making him capable of extremely large shields on a tanky build.

Signature Block Damage: His A3, Devoted Servants, places a 2-turn Block Damage buff on all allies, on a 6-turn cooldown (4 booked). If that Block Damage buff is removed or expires, the affected ally instantly gains a 60% Increase DEF buff for 2 turns. His passive, Feast of Agony, scales his own DEF up 5% per ally under Block Damage and counterattacks whenever a protected ally is hit.

Damage Debuff: His A1, Pyroclastic Claw, hits twice with a 30% (50% booked) chance per hit to apply a 25% Weaken debuff for 2 turns, and ignores Shield and Block Damage buffs on the target.

Key Weaknesses

Full A3 Book Investment Needed: Reaching his real potential requires Devoted Servants fully booked; his A2 benefits from books too, but keeping its cooldown unbooked preserves build flexibility.

Helicath's near-perfect ratings — 10s across Clan Boss, Hydra, Ice Golem, Iron Twins, and Spider — make him a top-tier pick for Clan Boss (killable or unkillable), Hydra, Arena buff-lock strategies, and general Doom Tower progression.
