Galek

Galek

Rare · Magic · Attack · Orcs

Galek is a Rare Magic Attack champion from the Orcs faction and one of the four starter champions offered at the beginning of the game, a familiar face from Raid's ads and promotions. He is generally considered the weakest starter pick, offering multi-hit damage with some Decrease DEF utility.

Core Strengths & Abilities

Random-Hit Decrease DEF: His A3, Cursed Blade, attacks 4 times at random with a 40% chance per hit once booked of placing a 30% Decrease DEF for 2 turns — upgrading to the 60% version against targets already under more than 2 debuffs. The four hits also make him a serviceable early Fire Knight pick for knocking down shield counters.

Speed-Boosted AoE: His A2 hits all enemies with an extra 15% critical hit chance and places a 30% Increase SPD buff on himself for 2 turns on a short 3-turn cooldown, helping him outpace enemies and cycle his skills.

Key Weaknesses

Unreliable Debuffs: The Decrease DEF caps at a 40% chance per hit even fully booked, and the stronger version needs the target pre-loaded with debuffs, making his signature utility inconsistent. His A3 also sits on a long 5-turn cooldown that books cannot reduce.

Outclassed Early: Fellow starters Kael and Athel bring more reliable damage and debuffs, leaving Galek behind from day one.

Galek is strictly an early-game stopgap, with his best showings in Fire Knight and basic dungeon progression before stronger Rares replace him.
