Dunestrider

Rare · Magic · Attack · Barbarians

Dunestrider is a Rare Magic Attack champion from the Barbarians faction, famous mainly for arriving in Teleria mysteriously missing her left boot — which later quietly reappeared. On paper she is a budget Turn Meter controller and healing blocker, but design restrictions keep her firmly in the niche-filler tier.

Core Strengths & Abilities

Turn Meter Chip: Her A2, Nomad's Stride, attacks 3 times at random on a booked 3-turn cooldown, with each critical hit decreasing the target's Turn Meter by 10%. It made her look like a budget Alure, but the depletion only triggers once per target, capping the control she can offer.

Heal Blocking: Her A3, Harsh Mercy, attacks all enemies and then strikes the lowest-HP enemy again, with a 95% chance once booked of placing a 100% Heal Reduction debuff for 2 turns — genuinely useful into single-target bosses like Fire Knight or Amius.

Defence Shredding: Her A1 carries a 50% booked chance of a 30% Decrease DEF debuff for 2 turns, upgradeable via the Nature's Bounty blessing.

Key Weaknesses

Once-Per-Target Limits: Both her Turn Meter depletion and her single-target Heal Reduction are capped mechanics, leaving her mediocre in waves and against multi-target fights — her Hydra (2) and Iron Twins (1) ratings show it.

Dunestrider is at best a stopgap for Fire Knight and Amius progression (both rated 6) while you hunt for stronger dedicated controllers.
