Arndulf

Epic · Magic · Defence · Bannerlords

Arndulf is an Epic Magic Defense champion of the Banner Lords, a famous cavalier who arrives without his horse but buried under a massive helm, shield, and mace. He straddles the line between defense-based nuker and control champion, with solid multipliers for a DEF-scaling damage dealer.

Core Strengths & Abilities

AoE Damage With Control: Daunting Violence (A2) attacks all enemies on a 3-turn booked cooldown, placing a 25% Weaken debuff for 2 turns — guaranteed once booked — plus a 50% booked chance of a Fear debuff for 1 turn. That combination softens whole teams for follow-up nukes while disrupting their actions.

Counterattack Provoke Loop: Wall of Metal places a 30% Reflect Damage buff on all allies for 2 turns and Counterattack on himself, on a 3-turn booked cooldown. Paired with his A1's 30% booked Provoke chance, every counter is another shot at forcing enemies to swing into him.

Key Weaknesses

Buff Dependency: As a DEF-based nuker he wants an Increase Defense ally to hit hard, and that buff is far less common in Arena teams than Increase Attack.

Unreliable Control: His Provoke sits at only 30% even fully booked and the Fear at 50%, so his crowd control is a bonus rather than a plan — and he offers little against bosses like Iron Twins (rated 2).

Arndulf slots in as an Arena nuker in defense-based teams or as a budget Provoke option, with his standout PvE rating coming at Fire Knight (9).
